BENTLEY OLD NUMBER TWO
Spinner Cufflinks
TMB’s Old No. 2 Spinner cufflinks are representations of the characteristic ‘knock off’ wheel spinners this era of Bentleys employed. Importantly, however, these are made using metal removed from Old No. 2 during the car’s two year restoration.
The patinated spinners and tiny central figure 2 are of metal from the original 1930 set of main bearing shells, whilst the hub is of Duralumin from the car’s original engine front closing plate. The cufflink arms are of solid 18ct yellow gold to our tactile rigid elliptical design. The links can also be supplied with their spinners polished to a deep golden colour rather than patinated.
The finishing touch to these remarkable cufflinks is that the spinners are threaded so that they can be unscrewed, just like the originals. Although not necessary in use, this detail adds further fascination and tactility to these historic cufflinks.
Presented in a handmade green leather case, every pair is individually engraved and hallmarked and accompanied by a provenance booklet outlining the history and provenance of the metal of which the links are made. Each also has a signed certificate of authenticity.
